Stephen Dickson
Chief Executive Officer
Stephens leadership over the last 30 years is underpinned by a range of outdoor pursuit qualifications including International Mountain Leader, Level 3 Coach and RYA Power Boat Instructor Award. Stephen was one of the first Accredited Practitioners of the IOL in Ireland and has completed an MA in Professional Development.
Trevor Kilpatrick
Chief Operating Officer
Trevor provides over thirty years’ experience within the voluntary sector across a range of disciplines including strategic planning, project management, marketing, fundraising, event management and volunteer development. Trevor is also Centre Manager for Ardaluin Residential Outdoor Learning Centre in Newcastle.
Fiona Nugent
Office Manager
Fiona is a member of BAC’s Senior Management Team and is responsible for the staff and resource planning at BAC. Holding a Bachelor in Economics and Government, with diplomas in Management and Human Relations, Fiona takes a lead role in managing personnel functions within BAC and provides secretarial support to the Board of Directors/Trustees.
Nicola Campbell
Senior Project Worker
Nicola has over 22 years’ experience with BAC. Having gained her Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award with BAC, Nicola has continued to develop a deep passion for the outdoors and holds her Mountain Leader Award, Single Pitch Award and Level II Canoe/Kayak. Nicola also holds an MA in Disability Studies from the University of Leeds.
Warren Campbell
Senior Project Worker
Warren’s role is split between Youth Build and the Fairbridge Programme with The Prince’s Trust. Combining his love for the outdoors and passion for youth work, Warren has obtained a range of qualifications including Single Pitch Award, Mountain Leader Award, MBLA, Trail Cycle Leader, GNAS Archery Leader, BCU Level 1 Coach and OCN Level 2 Youth Work.
Stephen Ferguson
Resources Co-ordinator & Adventure Learning Instructor
Stephen began his BAC journey by volunteering and later completing the BAC Aspirant Instructor Programme to become a full time member of staff. As he continues to thrive at BAC, Stephen currently holds the position of Resources and Stores Coordinator alongside providing a support role as an activities Instructor.
Raymond Braham
Part Time Adventure Learning Instructor
Raymond has been involved with BAC for 25 years in various roles, now a key member of our part time team. Raymond has supported the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Programme for over 30 years, 10 of which have been through BAC. Within this role, Raymond has enjoyed supporting groups on walking and cycling expeditions to Holland and France.

Our artificial cave, the largest in Ireland is completely unique to BAC. You won’t find another one identical anywhere in the world.
Canoeing/Kayaking
The perfect opportunity to explore the River Lagan and Northern Ireland’s wider beautiful waters.
Bushcraft
An activity to learn new skills for survival in the outdoors from building shelters, starting a campfire with natural materials to cooking your own meal outdoors.
Archery
Archery is a great activity for people of all ages and ability levels to build up skills and technique.
Abseiling
Abseiling is a fantastic activity to test your boundaries and enjoy that natural sense of adrenaline that comes with stepping outside of your comfort zone.
