trying to think of new fundraising ideas? Why not join the tens of thousands of people who have successfully completed our charity abseil challenges and raised over £3.5 million pounds since 1989!
It costs just £35 to participate and then everything else you raise goes to the charity of your choice. You will get all the equipment and training you need and plenty of encouragement from the instructors and your family and friends below. Fancy dress is positively encouraged, as long as we can get a harness and helmet safely on you!
If you don’t have a cause that you would like to support, BAC would be happy to recommend some very worthy charities. You can also fundraise for BAC, if you would like to support the valuable work that we do with young people helping them to change their lives and build their futures.

Who Can Book An Abseil?
If you are encouraging people to support your cause, you can block book group spaces on a specific abseil date and then promote them to your supporters to secure their space through you. Alternatively, you could encourage your supporters to fundraise for your cause but book directly with BAC.
Safety
We have been abseiling off the Europa Hotel and other buildings for 30 years. Our roof top team have SPA or RCI qualification and years of collective experience. Our equipment is double checked regularly before and during each abseil. We also constantly check factors like the weather to guarantee your safety.
Age and Weight
The minimum age is 14 years old and the maximum weight is approximately 18 stone, however certain factors may affect the maximum weight, and we would advise that if you are close to this weight that you call us for a friendly chat, and we will be able to discuss your options.
Photos
We have dedicated photographers on the roof to capture you at that perfect moment as you go over the side of the roof and make your descent. Photos are available to buy in the second floor lobby following your abseil priced at £10 for the first photo. There will also be discounts available for multiple purchases on the day.
Supporters
Your family and friends will be able to spectate your abseil from the pavement opposite the Europa Hotel. Please do not block business entrances or cause obstruction to other pedestrians passing by.
Press and publicity
If you would like to share your fundraising efforts with the local press or for your own publicity purposes, we would be happy to support this in any way that we can. Please speak with the BAC office about this either at the time of booking or as closely following your abseil as possible.
