Belfast Activity Centre (BAC) is a leading personal development charity based in Belfast that engages with children and young people from a diverse range of backgrounds and communities in programmes of adventure learning helping them to realise their full potential through expending their social and personal development. Our vision is to provide exceptional opportunities for children and young people with all abilities.

In order to achieve this we need exceptional and highly motivated people who also aspire to expand their own horizons by helping BAC to achieve its vision for ‘Changing Lives, Building Futures’. BAC currently has a number of vacancies and is inviting applications to be part of our rapidly expanding and visionary team.

Expressions of interest are invited for the following positions:

Office Manager(maternity cover) immediate start

Responsible for the overall front office activities the post holder will also play a pivotal role in the daily operation of the centre to ensure the smooth running of activity, conference suite and residential bookings ensuring the centre delivers a safe, fun and educational experience to all of our clients. The post holder will also be responsible for developing intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures, inventory control, office staff supervision and task delegation.

Senior Instructor and Instructor

We are looking for dynamic individuals who will be responsible for assisting with the delivery of personal development programmes using the vehicle of outdoor adventure learning activities. Core activities will include: artificial caving, climbing, high and low ropes, canoeing and kayaking, mountain biking, archery, orienteering and geo caching, team building games and activities. Both roles also support the delivery of the Duke of Edinburgh’s / Gaisce or International Award and provide assistance and leadership across the centre’s activities including short and longer term programme development and delivery. BAC operates from its Adventure Learning Park in Belfast, Residential and Camping Centre in Newcastle, Co. Down and provides mobile adventure learning to support programmes across Northern Ireland.

Full time staff work 36.25 hours per week including flexible working including evenings and weekends.
