Belfast Activity Centre

Fundraising

Belfast Activity Centre is a registered charity (X0203/90) and it needs to fundraise to support the many programmes and activities it undertakes throughout the year.

BBC Children in NeedBAC would like to thank it's current funders:

BBC Children in Need: Currently supporting the Disability Access Programme, BBC Children in Need has been funding BAC for the past 5 years.

salomonwebSalomon: Salomon footwear has been the trainer of choice for many of the staff team and now we have a corporate identity down to the toes. BAC staff would like to use this opportunity to publicly thank Salomon for their support.

The Big Lottery FundThe Big Lottery Fund: BAC is currently benefitting from the support of the Big Lottery Fund to develop the unique Belfast ALP project. This project will see the creation of a man made cave, climbing structure and high ropes course, which we hope to launch in the Spring of 2007

The Big Lottery Fund's Active Lifestyles programme has invested in BAC's Summer Schemes for 2007. This will allow BAC to offer a range of summer schemes to a wide range of young people across greater Belfast with a focus on those that find it more difficult to access opportunties to get out and get active.

International Fund for IrelandThe International Fund for Ireland: The Community Bridges Programme is currently funding BAC's Community Relations development which has included staff training, volunteer training and the development of Community Relations pilot programmes for groups.

Rank Foundation LogoThe Rank Foundation: The Rank Foundation has been supporting the work of BAC since 2004. In addition to offering core funding, Rank has been supporting the development of trainee staff on the GAP Programme - giving them access to training and development opportunities.

Lloyds TSB LogoLloyds TSB Foundation: Lloyds TSB has funded BAC on a number of occasions, including: supporting staff salaries; supporting developmental projects; assisting with BAC's move to new premises.

BAC also benefits from support from the following corporate groups:

Consarc design GroupConsarc Design Group: Consarc has been an ongoing supporter of the Belfast Activity Centre for some years. Most recently Consarc has offered support towards the cost of a new minibus.

AM Development: AM have supported the BAC Open Award, with a donation of £17,000 representing £1,000 per floor of the Churchill House which was demolished to make way for the development of Victoria Square.

Taylor and Fegan: Taylor and Fegan have supported the centre through carrying out work on the development of Barnett's Stable Yard at heavily subsidised costs.

All support, individual and corporate, is always gratefully received and the centre is happy to work with companies to provide reciprocal benefits in the form of training or recognition where this is appropriate.

Those interested in providing support should contact the Centre Director, Stephen Dickson, in the first instance.
