Bronze Award

The Bronze Section is run by Ian Douglas who is ably assisted by a strong team of other volunteers.

Ian has been volunteering with BAC in a number of roles for over 10 years both in the Open Award but also on the Centres Management Committee and Executative Committee.

The Bronze Award has 4 sections that need to be completed:

Service

Skills

Physical Recreation

Expeditions

 
3 monthsB3 months each

Plan, prepare for and undertake

a 2 day, 1 night venture

 

 

The brozne participants between October 2008 to December 2008 will be given the opportunity to complete their physical and skill sections at BAC. Participants will be given advice on where to complete their service, but it is up to the participant to arrange and do.

 

What is expected from you at Bronze:

  • Participants will provide their own 1:25000 Map of the Mournes
  • Participants will work on their service section themselves
  • Participants will attend every Tuesday evening for training
  • All day walks are compulsory and must be completed if you would like to do your expedition
  • All practice expeditions are compulsory and must be completed if you would like to do your expedition
